What are your best tips for helping children develop strong character and a sense of right and wrong? Share practical advice, family traditions, or lessons that have worked for you. Your experience can help other parents in the group guide their children toward positive values.
In this modern time some critical things need to be established. There is such a thing as truth. Yes, I am actually typing this. You are reading this. Somethings are "grey" but when you ask the right question, there is an honest answer, not a maybe. We either exist or we don't. That is foundational to having morals. Logically, morals don't stand on their own, if they have no source. Then it's just "opinion." So as has been answered God gave us a basic framework to stand on and "stay out of trouble." That was personalized by Jesus. He is the way, the truth and the life. We could not know the way, how, without Him. He is the truth. We can only fully have life in Him. For practical teaching, teach your kids when very young. We told them they only get one warning, then consequences. A friend added, "if I have to get up, it's too late." The basic idea is safety and stopping rebellion in the kids. Safety is obvious. But where we all get in trouble is rebellion. Watching for those 2 things gives structure and freedom. Kids want and need both. That means seeking wisdom for when to allow them to fail so they may learn on their own.

I spent the afternoon making heavy steel brackets 8 brackets 32 holes, actually 64 cause I did pilot holes, Had bought some highly rated Bosch cobalt M 42 drill bits. I even used Tap Magic cutting oil and proper drill speeds. I am not impressed with the bits. gonna return them.
This was a mild steel, good USA steel but nothing really hard or super tough, I didn't wreak the bits, but hard drilling wrong chips and excessive force. Only got a few seconds of the proper coil chips the rest was small ground bits of metal not the nice clean coils you expect with new premium bits. Is everything second rate these days?

I am a retired Marine whose life reflects the Sophoclean hero motif. I would welcome an opportunity to speak with you about a plan that is the fruit of 30 years in service to the nation. One that I believe uniquely meets the challenges and opportunities facing America at this time.
My program concentrates on a DOD-led strategy that tackles counterinsurgency and other seemingly-intractable problems in partner nations utilizing the current "Foreign Area Officer" (FAO - "fay-o") programs within the Departments of Defense and State in an entirely new way to meet the asymmetric nature of current conflicts.
Their current foreign language training is probably great if we want our FAOs sitting inside nondescript buildings all day everyday listening to foreign language radio and governmental intercepts for clues as to the order of battle of the Soviet military; however, it is inadequate to the task of developing reading, writing, listening,…
